Dancing on pool tables?

The boys from Groove Temple are excited because they've discovered a great new gig. They played the Sussex Inlet Tavern on Saturday 25th June. The locals went off and some naughty girls had their wrists slapped for dancing on pool tables. Groove Temple are hoping to be working there in the summer months, it should be big. Check this site for more dates. GO THE PANTHERS!!! The Sussex Inlet footy team won on Saturday. Some of the boys had a big night. Come to think of it, so did some of the ladies.....Girls please don't dance on the pool tables again. The pub might blame the the poor innocent band. They're good boys.
Friday 1st July 2005 is at the Husky Pub. Always a good gig, always good fun. It should be good to mix it with the locals again. "I might go the grilled salmon if it's still on the menu" Says Ang, vocalist. "I love rocking this room and I love their food. Mmmmmmm the surf and turf is pretty good too....Mmmmmmm beef!" Come along if you feel the need.
Saturday 2nd July 2005 is a Pre School Fund raiser at the Bomaderry RSL with $15 door entry. All are welcome, food is included and there will be fundraising activities during the evening. It's for a good cause, bring your spare change with you too and be prepared to have some fun. Anyone who's anyone will be there. See you there.

dedicated and disturbed

Groove Temple squeezed into the Grand Hotel on Saturday night, with the aid of a shoe horn and a few black beers. A very tight stage and a very intimate crowd atmosphere, but Groove Temple rose to the occasion and funked out the dance floor for Kiama. There were plenty of people about and yes we had a bar top dancer. (We think she does it every week.) There seemed to be parties going on everywhere and the band made some friends. (...Cheers Bro!)Throughout the night some dedicated funksters monopolised the dancefloor and one display of dancing was possibly the most memorable yet. Entertaining and jaw dropping to say the least....and that was just the band's reaction.

The weekend of Saturday 25th June will see Groove Temple at the Sussex Inlet Tavern, a new venue for the guys, but they're not strangers to the town and they love a new challenge. Hope to see you there.

Tired but happy

The weekend saw Groove Temple at the Dandaloo Hotel in Dapto, on Thursday 2 June playing to a small but appreciative crowd. Friday and Saturday was at the Riverina Region, playing at the Star Hotel in Tumut. "The feel of some country towns is addictive and we'll keep going back, despite the travel issues." Says Ang, lead vocalist. "The drought has made has made for a lot of dust, so naturally...you have to drink beer to wash it down." Saturday night was their best night in Tumut yet. "There were people everywhere and a few local parties were kicking off after the pub closed. Dedicated party animals. There must be something in the water. There was a 70 year woman (known as Mrs P) pushing some serious grooves on the dance floor. She was full on." Groove Temple looks forward to the next Tumut booking in August.

The weekend of 11th, 12th and 13th June is the Queens Birthday long weekend and Groove Temple is off the road for essential rest and gear repairs. The band P.A. is in need of some service, it gets a real work out.

Then on the weekend of 18th and 19th June, Groove Temple is back at the Grand Hotel in Kiama and should be refreshed and ready to knock the foundations out a few feet. "This is the venue where the locals dance on the bar. Could be interesting"
